Bulldozer secured on a lowboy trailer at an excavation staging area

Lowboy Dispatch

Keep the move request and driver assignment together.

Connect foreman demand, office scheduling and assignment, driver progress, and an updated equipment location on completion.

What it does

A defined record for each equipment move.

Lowboy Dispatch connects foreman requests, office scheduling and assignment, and driver move execution on web and mobile.

Keep the machine, pickup and dropoff stops, driver, tractor, trailer, and move history on one request. Lowboy includes one driver seat. It is included on Full Operations and available as an add-on on Core Crew and Growing Operation.

A Lowboy Dispatch workflow connects pickup-ready equipment to an assigned driver and specified pickup and dropoff stops.

The requested machine, driver, pickup, and dropoff stay together. State changes require a connection.

  1. Queue the machine and stops.
  2. Schedule and assign the move.
  3. Record driver progress and completion.

Equipment moves

From move request to completed dropoff.

Request the equipment or move

A foreman can mark assigned-job equipment ready to move, request an equipment type, or create a move request. The office can also queue a move directly.

Schedule and assign

The office chooses the equipment, pickup and dropoff, need-by time, driver, and optional tractor/trailer. Stops can be jobs, company business locations, or one-off addresses.

Follow the driver’s stages

The assigned driver progresses through accepted, en route, picked up, dropped off, and completed on web or mobile. State changes need a connection and are not queued offline.

Update the equipment’s place

Completing the move updates the equipment’s job or business location and appends location history. Notes stay with move events; move-photo support is a follow-up.

The details that matter

Keep each equipment-move handoff clear.

Keep the requested equipment, readiness, driver responsibility, and completed move connected so the office and field can follow the same record.

What is moving?
Identify the equipment and whether the request is a pickup, transfer, or other equipment move. Keep the machine and job context with the request.
Who confirms readiness?
The foreman’s ready-to-move signal and the office’s queue/assignment are separate responsibilities. A machine being listed on a job is not confirmation that it can be collected.
Who owns the trip?
The office schedules and assigns the move. The assigned driver records acceptance, en route, pickup, dropoff, and completion from web or mobile.
What stays separate?
This module is for equipment moves. Material orders and tickets belong to Material Tracking; truck-by-truck aggregate dispatch, broker settlement, and live GPS are separate needs.
