People

See the assigned crew and record attendance changes.

Tasks and notices

Keep assigned work and job notices on the phone.

A foreman records people and work at daily closeout; the office sees a single job-day record with reported loads and notes.

One foreman records the job-day, with the people, work, and notes underneath it. Detailed counts and area rules use Expanded Jobs.

  1. Review the people on the job.
  2. Record their work and day notes.
  3. Keep one primary job-day closeout.

Field worker seat

The rest of the crew stays in the same app

Operators, laborers, and drivers use worker seats for their own time and assigned work.

Foremen manage crew-level reporting; workers do not need that access to act on their part of the day.

  • Clock time to the job.
  • Open assigned tasks and job notices.
  • Record supported updates to personal work.
A worker clocks time to North Ridge on a phone, and the office reviews separate job time segments in a shared record.

Time follows the job. When the work changes, keep each job segment in the record.

  1. Clock in on the job.
  2. Switch jobs when work changes.
  3. Review the recorded time segments.

Worked example

A foreman’s day should leave a usable job record.

Illustrative daily routine. Each step has a specific record, so the office can follow the work after the crew leaves.

  1. Load the assigned work

While connected, open the jobs, crews, equipment, and tasks you need. New assignments cannot arrive without service.

  2. Record the exceptions

Keep attendance exceptions, field notes, task updates, and machine needs with the job. Workers record their own time; job switches keep separate time segments.

  3. Capture materials when the module is on

Log tickets against an open Material Tracking order. For metered water, enter the dial reading on the correct water line; the accepted reading history determines interval usage.

  4. Close out and check sync

Save the primary job-day closeout with the work and relevant counts. When back in service, confirm successful sync so the office can review the same record.

Specialist handoffs

Keep the field request with the job it affects.

A machine needs attention
With Fleet Maintenance and the right access, report an equipment issue with its context or record a service visit. The mechanic owns the repair steps; routine service stays separate from a breakdown.
Equipment is ready for another job
The Lowboy Dispatch workflow separates a foreman’s ready-to-move signal or equipment request from office scheduling and driver assignment. Move actions need a connection.
A ticket or meter needs recording
With Material Tracking, select the open order line and record the quantity or dial reading it asks for. The line keeps delivered water distinct from metered usage.

Questions

Before the crew relies on it.

What works without cell service?

Load assigned work while connected. Supported time, attendance, task, note, and closeout updates can save locally. Initial sign-in, new assignments, and live weather need a connection.

When does the office see an offline update?

After the phone reconnects and the update successfully syncs. Check sync activity and resolve failed updates.

Which plan includes maps and detailed closeout?

Expanded Jobs adds maps, weather, named areas, and advanced closeout rules. It is included on Growing and Full and can be added to Core Crew.

Does every operator submit a daily production report?

The foreman records one primary closeout per job and date, with people and work lines underneath it. A person can have multiple lines when the day splits. Operators’ daily equipment entries remain separate from the foreman’s job-day counts.

Can a foreman log haul tickets or water readings?

Yes, with Material Tracking enabled and the relevant job access. The office sets up the company products and order lines; the foreman logs against the open line. Metered lines ask for the dial reading, while delivered-water lines ask for the quantity.

Give each person the access they need.
